Comments:

Bonnie came to us as a stray requiring medical attention with severe wounds from a dog attack, and old wounds and scars indicating she may have been used as a bait dog. It appears as though Bonnie has had to defend and protect what is hers, causing her to guard her food, bed, toys, etc. However she is good with other balanced dogs, children and adults, especially men. She must have had good interaction with people in the past because she is sweet and personable, appreciates affection and loves belly-rubs! With the help of staff and fosters, she has mended well, and has come a long way emotionally, but still needs gentle and consistent guidance. She also suffers from separation anxiety and can be destructive in the house, so she will need to be taught the value of "alone time" in a positive manner. She does her best when she has had a chance to run and play everyday. Bonnie is in need of an understanding person that will provide her with a loving, balanced environment and commit to teaching her how to live her life without fear. If you are that person for Bonnie, please call us. She really deserves the chance. Bonnie's foster mom had to move far far away and brought Bonnie back to us and she is really in need of that loving home again...she misses her Foster Mom and really needs her own home.".
