Comments:

Maya is a husky/shepherd mix, a wonderful companion and a playful, energetic girl who is easy to please and enjoys attention.  She willingly goes into her crate in the morning when it's time for me to go to work and wait patiently until the evening when it's time for her long walk.  She has always played well with kids in the neighborhood, but unfortunately a few months ago she escaped from the back yard and attacked a small Papillon that was being walked in the neighborhood.  The Papillon had to be put down, and the owner insists that Maya be permanently removed or he will have our county animal control agency take her away to be destroyed.  She has been evaluated by a dog behavior specialist at SICSA (Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals) who found no evidence of aggression and speculated that Maya was exhibiting hunting behavior.  Apple Valley Animal Hospital and Tannenberg Kennels can attest that they have never had a problem with aggressive behavior from her.  She needs a good home where she can receive a lot of loving attention and be able to play in an area away from small pets that she may confuse with prey.
