Comments:

What a nice boy!  That’s the overall feeling of anyone who meets Kenai.  He is just one of those dogs that kind of blends easily in to your home.  He is not pushy, he is not noisey, he is not demanding of attention, and he is not super active.  But he sure is nice.   He likes all sorts of other dogs.  He meets them all on their terms and just accepts their personalities easily.  He came to us as a  stray so we do not know much about his background, but he seems to have some basic training down.  He is housetrained via crating, but will need a housetraining 101 refresher.

Kenai is not a huge dog, but at 60lbs, he is still underweight.  So he will be about 65-68lbs once in proper weight.  His coat is in good shape-nice and silky.  He has a longer coat so regular brushing will be the norm.  Be forewarned-once Kenai looks at you with those deep brown eyes, you are going to melt.  He is a heartbreaker!

I want to apply to adopt a dog now.

All dogs are:

  • spayed or neutered prior to adoption
  • evaluated for temperament and trainability
  • up to date on ALL shots, including Bordetella (kennel cough)
  • heartworm tested and on preventative year-round
  • micro-chipped for identification
