Comments:

Meet Twinkle, whose boundless enthusiasm for life is only matched by her sweet personality.  Twinks is a happy girl who always has a tail wag for any human she sees.  Twinkle is a very athletic dog who would excel in a home that would take her running, bikejoring or carting.  She is very graceful, and would probably love to do agility or rally with you.  She is lightening quick and needs someone active to keep up with her.  Twinks needs a job to do, but once she gets her energy expended, she will happily cuddle up with you for husky kisses.

Twinkle is rather silly when she first meets other dogs.  She is not aggressive, but she is just so so excited to see another dog that she makes much noise which could be misinterpreted as growling by the uneducated human or the unknowing other dog.  She also does not appear to read other dogs very well and will jump around, asking to play, with any other dogs, even if they most decidedly tell her they do NOT want to play.  Eventually Twinkle gets it, but she needs to be introduced slowly to new dogs.  Having said that, Twinkle lives happily and noisily with a dozen other Siberians now, and gets along with all different personalities.  Once she learns who wants to play with her and who does not, she respects it.

Twinkle ran on quite a few sled teams last season and did well with all of them.  She is fully trained in harness and can run lead, knowing the Gee and Haw commands and even the On By ones.  Can’t guarantee that Miss Social Butterfly might not try and say hi to the trail help, but she tends to stay pretty focused when running in harness.

You can read more about Twinkle and see pictures of her at play with other fosters on our Foster Follies page.  Twinkle is our current foster blogger!  Please go there to get to know Twinkle better.
